Company Profile

About Molde

Founded in 1988 in Caldas da Rainha, Molde combines artisanal know-how with technological and aesthetic innovation. With a studio-like approach, it values detail, variety, and finishes, setting itself apart from mass production — recognition that earned it the National Design Award for the Ceramic Industry in 1992.

Committed to good environmental practices and workplace safety, it received the National Award for Safe Work in 2001. Diversification led to the launch of the Azulejo XXI collection in 2003 and, in 2007, to the production of fine stoneware, strengthening both technical and artistic maturity. Since 2018, it has participated in major international fairs, consolidating the brand within the European market.

In 2021, it created the Molde Academy, a training space dedicated to fostering and promoting new creative talents in ceramics.
